Before creating Vursaa, I was working as a nurse which basically meant I was always on the move. Some days I’d commute between three different locations, juggling shifts, paperwork, and my sanity. My “system” was carrying two bags: one for my lunch, one for my work essentials.

Then I’d get home and switch into mum mode. Weekends were all about family adventures, playground trips, and impromptu outings. Which of course meant… another bag, many misplaced items and a chaotic pre outing hour trying to get it all together. If you’ve ever left the house with kids, you know they’re suddenly starving the second you lock the front door. So there I was, lugging around another bag just for snacks and drinks, wishing everything could fit in one place without looking like I was packing for a two-week camping trip.

That’s when the idea for Vursaa was born: one versatile, urban backpack designed for real life, the messy, busy, beautiful, in-between moments of work, parenting, and everything else life throws at you. Importantly a place I could store food without needing a separate compartment to carry.

For me, it all comes back to our philosophy: a backpack should adapt to your life, not the other way around. As we grow, we change and whether its reinventing yourself or welcoming your first child a bag that has the ability to grow with you was a key element to the vision I had for Vursaa.
